Removing Some or All of Your Data in Spendly AI

 This page explains how you can remove specific data from Spendly AI without deleting your entire account. We want to give you full control over your financial records, whether you only need to reset certain information or wipe all stored data.

1. Deleting Local Data Only

If you want to remove data stored on your device (e.g., transactions, categories) while keeping your Spendly AI account active:

  1. Open the app and go to Settings.
  2. Look for the “Delete Local Data” option.
  3. Confirm your choice. All locally stored records will be removed from your device.
  4. Your Spendly AI account remains active, so you can still log in again and sync data from the cloud (if any).

2. Deleting Cloud Data Only

If you want to clear the data stored in the cloud (e.g., budgets, recurring payments) but keep local data on your device:

  1. Open the app and navigate to Settings.
  2. Tap “Delete All Cloud Data.”
  3. Confirm your choice. This action will remove all your financial data from our online servers (Firebase).
  4. Your local app data remains intact, and your Spendly AI account is still valid.

3. Requesting Partial Data Removal

If you need help removing only certain types of data (e.g., specific transactions) or have additional questions:

  • Email us at gocrats@gmail.com with the subject line: “Partial Data Deletion Request.”
  • Specify which records you’d like removed (e.g., “Please delete all transactions from January 2023”).
  • Our support team will assist you in clearing exactly what you need while keeping the rest of your account data intact.

4. What Happens After Data Deletion

  • Once data is deleted (locally or in the cloud), it cannot be recovered.
  • You can continue using Spendly AI with any remaining data.
  • If you decide to delete your entire account in the future, you can follow our Account Deletion Instructions (link to your full account deletion page).

Thank you for using Spendly AI! We understand that you may wish to remove your account and associated data at some point. Below are the steps to help you delete your account entirely or simply remove local or cloud data without closing your account. 1. Removing Local or Cloud Data (Without Deleting Your Account) Spendly AI provides in-app options to remove data stored on your device or in the cloud, without fully deleting your account.
